Words of Immobility is a powerful magic spell that can freeze time for anyone who hears the spell for up to twelve hours. The spell appears to be Old English in origin.
Function[]
When the spell is activated, any who heard the main portion of the incantation will freeze in time. The number of times the main incantation is repeated will determine for how long time is frozen, but the spell's limit it twelve hours. While it is possible to freeze someone who didn't hear the entire spell they must be present when it ends and transmitting the spell over audio devices has so far been demonstrated to not be possible. Any subject exposed to the spell is completely frozen in time, unable to age during the period and entirely unaware of what it is going on around them. The spell's nature does mean if the person is not present when the spell is completed or if they cannot hear the words at all they will not be affected.
Casting[]
A candle made of bayberry wax is required, as well as an active flame and a sample of of a living human being, though the source of this can vary greatly to include skin flakes or a piece of hair. The sample can also come from the caster themselves with no penalty. The spell then must be chanted while staring at the candle, spoken clearly though speed is not a factor so long as all the words are said. The phrase 'ándaga béon stede' must be uttered after the prerequisite words are spoken, making the total casting time of the spell two to three minutes on average with the human sample offered to the flame to finish the spell.
