The SIG SG 552 Commando is an assault carbine developed by Swiss Arms AG, which has since been adapted for use by various tactical police units around the globe.
Overview[]
The SIG SG 550 was a success for Swiss Arms AG, designed as an assault rifle to replace aging battle rifles produced by the same company. The 552 was developed in 1998 as a smaller compliment to the 550, making the design a bit more comparable to the AK-47. Like the 550 the weapon is able to accept rails for various accessories, making it an ideal tactical weapon.
Use[]
Utopia Holdings[]
When Parker Reich joined Utopia Holdings she examined their standard tactical armaments. While approving of the H&K UMP as a sub-machine gun she pushed to give Talon Protection in particular a full range of weaponry, and the Commando was her pick for a carbine. As of May 2009 a few have been acquired for use.
