The KE Solais is a melee weapon developed by Knight's Edge, which has since become popular with law enforcement and private security, being their top-selling product.
Overview[]
KE Solais batons are designed to offer the full functionality of a heavy flashlight, with new models sporting LED lights instead of regular bulbs. The baton meanwhile is comparable in strength to similar weapons, the grip easy enough to use for both lighting and combat. When in its pouch the baton-end is traditionally pointed down, the bulk pointed up with part of the grip exposed.

The Los Angeles police force has several Solais batons available to their officers, though they are not standard issue. Tactical response units however tend to carry them, as do some sheriff detachments.
