Howe Street

The Howe Street Boys are a street gang based out of London, specifically Howe Street. A diverse gang, they not only have a larger portion of women in their ranks than average, there are several members who are over thirty years old.

Operations[]

Various council housing estates exist on Howe Street, most of its members living on one of the properties. With effective control over the area, the gangs handle various crimes. Drug dealing is common, as is smuggling, with the occasional big-time operation delivering their goods to Howe Street where corrupt businesses will accept and list as legitimate goods. The operations allow for money laundering and screening of goods. Several members of the Howe Street Boys have legitimate connections to the docks and wharves. Bigger operations typically involve stealing bikes, breaking into shops and lifting cars, the Howe Street locals used as cover as with so many affiliated with their operations the trail of information stops cold. Only rarely does the gang pull something massive.

History[]

Neil Deacon helped create the Howe Street Boys in his early twenties, unsatisfied with the quality of life on Howe Street. Early members included Natalie Hudgens and Adam Chesterton, with Mildred Boothe being an early youth leader. In a few short years most of Howe Street was in some way connected to the gang, and despite some members getting arrested or even killed they'd gained a level of notoriety.

In December of 2008 No Name sold the Howe Street Boys Type-7, something they'd previously only seen in small quantities. Neil convinced Dylan Kinnock, Natalie and a few others to help him freeze a high-profile London West End after-party, celebrity performers including Peter Stuart, Kathy Beckinstaff and Irina Popov. Members of the International Temporal Enforcement Agency were present at the party, soon resulting in most of the gang being captured, except for Natalie.

Months later the gang was able to be released from jail thanks to some expert legal help (suggested to have been provided by Richard Stilton prior to his death) and promptly sought revenge on the ITEA. Natalie had also gone missing, so Rhonda Evens was kidnapped and held hostage, as were wealthy individuals such as Isabella Winthrop. The ITEA, working with the Metropolitan Police Service, quickly swept through the gang's hideout in Islington, resulting in the capture once again of not only Neil and Dylan but also Vina Rai, Adam Chesterton and Mildred Boothe. Neil, Vina, Adam and Mildred would subsequently end up taken to the private home of Kioni Abasi, where she intends to keep them as statues.
