Curry Express

Curry Express is a major global fast food company with their headquarters located in Chicago, USA. Originating in New York in 1951, Curry Express was the first North American restaurant to offer fast Indian food. The restaurant eventually caught on and by the late 1960s had expanded quite rapidly. To help with expansion to untapped markets the traditional Indian cuisine was supplemented with fusion dishes such as Butter Chicken Pizza and Fires with Curry. In 1989 the company moved its headquarters to Chicago amidst some questionable corporate dealings. The Kashi family who founded the first restaurant still have majority control of the company despite it being publically traded. As of 2009 the company has an annual income of nearly 20 billion USD.
