Bella Wei (born Bella Gorham in 1985) is minor character in The IT Files. Half-Chinese, Bella lives in Los Angeles, where she works as a bodyguard and general aide to Saffron Westlake.
Biography[]
Bella was born in Seattle, Washington, the older of two sisters, Chelsey Wei the younger of the pair. Bella's mother is of Chinese descent while her father was American. When she was ten Bella's parents divorced, her mother remarrying two years later. A year after the marriage was made official Bella took her step-father's last name. While the divorce had been mostly amicable Bella ended up channeling her angst over the situation into the martial arts, managing to learn Shorinji Kempo from a Japanese martial arts teacher. As Bella grew up she studied business and became interested in learning to drive various vehicles, her first car ending up being a motorcycle. When her mother Corinna Wei moved to San Francisco to work at Qilin Palace Bella moved with her.
After high school Bella attended the London School of Economics, majoring in Management. Though languages generally eluded her, Bella knowing virtually no Chinese and most of her Japanese from her Kempo classes, Bella did excel in her business classes. In her spare time Bella furthered her martial arts studies, picking up boxing and Aikido while also learning more about vehicles. By the time she's earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management Bella had become certified to drive European cars. Returning to the United States after another two years in London, Bella learned Chelsey would be attending school in Los Angeles and decided to move there. Bella's big goal was to become an invaluable aide to a wealthy individual, and then when the time was right leave them to use what she'd learned. Getting certification as both a driver and bodyguard, Bella ended up attracting attention as the latter. Hired by Saffron Westlake, Bella frequently escorts her employer wherever she goes.
